    2. Turn the rope ON using the power switch.

    3. The LEDs should light up within a few seconds. If they do not, turn the rope off and back on.

Step 2: Connect to the Rope’s Wi‑Fi (Access Point Mode)

When first powered on, the rope creates its own Wi‑Fi network.

    1. Open Wi‑Fi settings on your phone or computer.

    2. Look for a network named something like:

      • WLED-AP or WLED-XXXX

    3. Connect to this network.

      • If prompted for a password, use: wled1234

Step 3: Open the WLED Control Page

    1. Once connected to the rope’s Wi‑Fi, open a web browser.

    2. Go to:

    3. The WLED control interface should load.

Step 4: Connect the Rope to Your Home Wi‑Fi or another network

    1. In WLED, tap the ⚙️ Settings icon.

    2. Select WiFi Setup.

    3. Enter:

      • Your Wi‑Fi network name (SSID)

      • Your Wi‑Fi password

    4. Tap Save & Connect.

    5. The rope will reboot and connect to your Wi‑Fi.

Step 5: Reconnect on Your Network

    1. After the rope restarts, reconnect your phone/computer to your normal Wi‑Fi.

    2. To test connection, visit the ropes local network address by typing it into a web browser. The network address can be found by using the rope identifier that is on the rope. Example: If the rope identifier on the rope is rope-b4, the rope network address would be http://rope-b4.local

    3. You can now control colors, brightness, and effects.

    Troubleshooting

    • No Wi‑Fi network appears: Power‑cycle the rope and wait 30 seconds.

    • Page won’t load: Make sure you are connected to the rope’s Wi‑Fi, then try http://4.3.2.1 again.

    • Wrong Wi‑Fi password: Repeat Step 2 to reconnect to the rope and re‑enter your Wi‑Fi details.

  • The ropes can be controller using the included wled interface (check ‘Connect Rope to Wifi’ for insturction on opening the wled interface) or with the LED Jump Rope Show App.
